Study-level database for studies with health care provider practice outcomes

Description: This database has one row per study. It is useful for performing analyses at the study level. For example, you could examine the percentage of studies from a particular country.

Comparison-level database for continuous health care provider practice outcomes

Description: This database has one row per study comparison. A study comparison is an examination or analysis of two study arms. For example, a control arm versus an intervention arm in which health workers receive a 3-day training. This database is useful for analyzing the effectiveness of strategies with continuous outcomes, such as the “number of medicines prescribed per patient.”

Comparison-level database for health care provider practice outcomes expressed as a percentage

Description: This database has one row per study comparison. This database is useful for analyzing the effectiveness of strategies with outcomes expressed as a percentage, such as the “percentage of patients correctly treated.”

Effect-size-level database for health care provider practice outcomes

Description: This database has one row per effect size. This database is useful for analyzing the effectiveness of strategies at the individual effect size level. For example, a particular study might have 10 outcomes (and thus 10 effect sizes). With this database, you could see how the 10 outcomes were defined, and you might want to tailor an analysis by only including the outcomes that are most relevant to your program or research project.
